About FORTUNA BT.
Fortuna Bt., based in Mezőszilas, was founded in 1974 by Kálmán Kajári and József Kajári. At that time, we were primarily engaged in repairing garden machinery and moped engines as small craftsmen. From the 1980s onwards, we switched to providing comprehensive repairs for passenger cars. The first major investment in the company’s history took place in 1986 and 1990, when the engine reconditioning plants that are still in use today were built.
The company itself was registered in 1990, and we continued to expand over the following years, establishing an 800 m2 company headquarters in addition to the engine reconditioning plant. At the same time, the main profile of the limited partnership underwent continuous change, with the refurbishment of engines for agricultural machinery and commercial vehicles taking on a much greater role alongside passenger cars. We have also been distributing engine parts since the second half of the 1990s. We have also won the Hungarian representation of one of the most influential brands, Kolbenschmidt Motor Service International GmbH, which was a huge breakthrough in the life of the company.
In 2000, the company expanded with a 1,000 square meter warehouse, which allows for the professional and precise storage and handling of quality products. This workshop also stores replacement engines that have been repaired and prepared by the plant.
In 2003, we opened our store in Budapest, which helps us serve our partners faster and more comprehensively.
In 2005, we expanded our machine park, which included the purchase of a wet test bench.
In 2011, we expanded again, building a 700 square meter assembly hall where the engines we receive are disassembled and reassembled, washed, tested on the test bench, and delivered.
In 2014, we invested again, purchasing a common rail injector testing, cleaning, and calibration device. The Carbon Zapp CRU.2i and UA.2i devices, which perform fully automatic tests, are suitable for testing and cleaning both common rail injectors and PD injectors.
Over the years, we have expanded our product range with products from numerous manufacturers, and in the field of engine reconditioning, we ensure the best quality with our modern machine park and skilled workforce!
In 2024, the machining plant was expanded with a new premises and warehouse. Furthermore, we are planning to expand and upgrade our machine park.
